Energy Reduction Technician (ERT-TL)- Team Leader

 

Basic Expectations:

 

ERT-TL personnel are responsible for the condition of the Dismantle, Cleaning Reassembly of the HVAC units to be tested for the basic function of HVAC tune up.  Their job is to see that HVAC Units are cleaned operationally ready for testing and functional checks. 

ERT-TL is also responsible for the testing and documentation of all HVAC unit tune ups. This includes assessing all before and after photos and reporting them to email.

ERT-TL will notify the necessary specialists if and when an issue or a malfunction is detected.

 

Other functions and expectations

  • Remove and replace Thermostats as required. 

  • Set up and tear down cleaning equipment each day

  • Account for all cleaning tools and equipment at the beginning and end of each shift

  • Be willing to Travel as needed for job functions. 

Additional expectations

  • Before and After photos of all units Cleaned

    • Shared with Site Supervisor by the end of each shift

  • Manage time clock responsibilities. 

  • Be flexible to any job unique job requirements that may arise.

  • All documentation required from M3 ADMIN must be submitted in a timely manner.

  • ERT-TL are expected to meet all training requirements within a predetermined time frame. 

Qualifications:

 

For entry into this specialty, completion of high school or general educational development equivalency is mandatory. Applicants must also possess normal color vision. Applicants must be able to climb ladders, work outdoors in inclement weather. Applicants must acquire their own basic tools within the first 60 days of employment. Applicants must have reliable transportation. 

 

Additional training and qualifications. 

 

  • Applicant must test and pass for EPA 608 Certification and test before the 90 employment mark. 

  • Applicant must attend and pass the HVAC tune-up class no sooner than the first 30 days of employment. 

  • Applicant must work to meet training expectations for team leadership roles designed around their position and title.

    • ERT-TL is the first line supervisor role for M3 energy reduction projects. 

    • ERT-TL is the growth position time frame expectations for this position is 6 months to 2 years. 

Applicant must demonstrate ability to manage personnel including conflict resolution, coaching tactics for improvement, and motivational behaviors to reward good work.

Energy Reduction Technician (ERT-B)- Basic

 

Basic Expectations:

 

ERT-B personnel are responsible for the Dismantling, Cleaning, and Reassembling of the HVAC units to be tested for the basic function of HVAC tune up.  Their job is to see that HVAC Units are cleaned and operationally ready for testing and functional checks. An ERT-B will notify  the necessary specialists if and when an issue or a malfunction is detected. *Reference “Basic Job Checklist” document

  • Be flexible to any job - and unique requirements that may arise.

Sr. HVAC Technician

Basic Expectations:

An HVAC Technician, or a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technician, installs and repairs various air quality systems.

● Their main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items.

● Conducting HVAC energy mitigation protocols to improve energy efficiency for our HVAC clients and utility providers.

*Manage a Crew of 4 to 8 people.

**1099 contractor to start for the 3 months. Then eligible for full hire with benefits

HVAC Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

HVAC Technicians have several responsibilities. Other common responsibilities for HVAC Technicians include:

● Provide Troubleshooting support

● Removing old systems

● Installing new systems

● Performing routine maintenance

● Training junior team members

● Communicating with clients and customers

● Ordering and maintaining equipment

● Meeting local HVAC codes

  • Workweek: Monday- Thursday (typical schedule)

  • Occasional Travel (Per Diem paid)

 

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

● MINIMUM EDUCATION
High school diploma, GED

● ASVAB REQUIREMENTS
Mechanical; Electronics

REQUIREMENTS:

5 Years of HVAC experience required

● Knowledge of HVAC/R system principles, controls and components

● Normal color vision Possession of a valid state driver’s license to operate motor vehicles

● Reliable transportation

EPA II license a plus, Driver’s license required

Team management experience a plus.
